1. REQUESTS...
If I'm open for requests, you can ask for one, and I'd be happy to make it! Scroll down to "MAKING A REQUEST..." to see details.
Just check my profile page, if I have green or yellow icons about requests/trades, then I'm open!
I don't do request comics anymore. It's just a personal thing. It's hard to bring to life someone else's type of humor. (It's like asking someone to draw in an art style that isn't their own.)
Check my reference folder: [link]
I do comics about people I can make jokes about. Sometimes, some of the characters just don't lend themselves to my style of humor as well. I try my very best to include as many of the characters as possible, so please don't feel left out if I forget RandomNPC08372 who you swear is your headcanon love interest and have dedicated several fan fictions to. It wasn't intentional.
Yes, you can use absolutely any of my Mass Effect art for any thing you want with only one exception:
You aren't required to credit me or ask for permission; I only require that you credit BioWare.
2. MAKING A REQUEST...
Here's what you need to know for making a request...
Send me a note with the following information:
- Which character(s). (*If one of them is a custom character, see next question.)
- Which outfit(s)/armor for each character.
- The scenario.
Note 1: Yes, I do non-canon pairings. (Keep in mind that even though I'm known for being crass, I do keep my serious stuff pretty classy.)
Note 2: If your request starts with, "The whole crew doing..." I will frown. Try to limit the number of characters, if you could, please.
Technically no. I just use the default Shepard head.
However, I can customize the following:
- Skin Color.
- Eye Color.
- Hair Style.
- Hair Color.
- Outfit/armor.
Nothing. 0 dollars. 0 yen. 0 credits. 0 points. 0 souls of children.
If you'd really like to do something in return, we can do an art trade. (I also accept writing as art trades.) As for what? I dunno, you can draw your favorite panel from a comic of mine, or write a short story about my Shepard doing something, well, you know...ridiculous, or craft 10 Haikus dedicated to the appreciation of alien butts. Anything.
However, don't feel obligated. I'm just a sucker who gets pleasure from doing nice things for no particular reason.
1. Just keep in mind I'm using assets from the game. There are some things I just can't do if I don't have the assets for it. If you're not really sure what's possible or not, visit my requests folder or just look at other stuff I've done. NOTE: I don't have Omega or the Citadel DLC on my computer, so I don't have any of those assets.
2. I don't do comics as requests. Sorry. It takes a lot of time, and it's hard for my brain. Single panels only, would you kindly.
3. Give me as many screenshots/reference materials as you can! It helps me! Also, I just like looking at stuff. My eyes...are like...yeah, gimme dat.
3. HOW...
The short story is that I pull out the models from the game's files for the PC version using Gildor's program UModel, then I import them into 3ds Max with a script called ActorXImporter. Then, I use the rigging already in place to pose, then render them with loving care, and throw in some Photoshop for flavoring. Delicious.
Totally. I made tutorials if you want to try it yourself: [link]
No. They're not my property, so I cannot distribute them. Also, if you have the game, you have the assets anyway. They just need to be put together. (If you want a custom prop that I modeled, that's fine, just let me know.)
There is now a way to get custom Shepards imported if you have PC saves. The process is detailed here: [link]
I don't know anything about this process other than the fact that it exists, so don't ask me any questions about it. I won't be able to answer anything.
(NOTE: I cannot make use of this process as Mass Effect does not run on my computer. Therefore, cannot create the saves.)
The Shepard from my (older) comics actually uses Ashley's head.
(The Shepard from my newer comics uses the new Shepard head.)
4. PERSONAL...
From the cloaca of a winged Salarian mermaid.
Really though...I'm just always thinking about random situations. Sometimes those situations are funny enough for me to write down.

For example, :iconimhappyplz: produces...
(You can write :iconAnythingYouWant: without actually making the icon if you stick an open and close bold HTML tag in the middle of it.)
#Moar-PLZ-Accounts and ~Iconstore.
Yep. @AliciaYeargin is my Twitter handle or whatever. I try to make announcements there as well as here.
Also, yep. It's here: [link]
Sometimes I post art there that I don't post on dA.
Answer is here in one of my comics: [link]

thanks <3!
so I was following your texturing tutorial <[link]>, step by step. but I got this <[link]> (picture) instead of Jack's tattoos shown in your tutorial...TuT
this <[link]> (picture) is a closer look at the material editor settings. I've checked many times but still no idea what's wrong. TuT
thanks for your time <3! (and sorry for my English...I'm ESL >.<
So, my first question would be: Does it render like that? If you click on Render, does it still not show the texture?
If it DOES show the texture when you hit render...
One thing I can suggest is to check and make sure you've clicked "Show in Viewport." ([link])
Then you will be able to see the texture without having to render. (A probably low-res version anyway, which is normal.)
If it does NOT show the texture when you hit render...
Then, double check to make sure you actually applied the correct texture. (See the last picture for the button "Apply to Selection.")
Also, make sure you're not using a multi/sub-object texture for the body; everything on the body is just ID 1 (for Jack's body anyway).
If those don't solve your problem, you can take more screenshots of your Material editor settings for that texture, and I'd be happy to take a look.
(I think I have the correct textures, I basically 'copy-paste' the file names from your tutorial when searching for the texture...) I'll let you know if it works after I finished checking!
also, forget to mention earlier & not sure it's needed, but I have the 3ds Max 2013 version.
thanks <3
